Before Channel 4 full commissioned The Curfew we were given a small pre-production budget with which to develop the back story of the game world.
Rather than simply present a written document at the end of this 4 week period, we worked with script-writer Kieron Gillen to produce a faux government information film explaining the premise of the world.
This was the result of that process, a motion graphics-led film produced in-house by our animation team and voiced by the actress who would go on to become the voice of The Shepherd Party.
The piece proved invaluable in communicating what is a complex premise simply and easily, as well as establishing the general tone of the game. It was later used as part of the promotional campaign for the game.
