As huge comic fans, we were delighted when Paramount Pictures and Marvel gave us the chance to take Captain America on an adventure to promote his 2011 movie outing. Wield the Shield is a slick, casual arcade game that combines pinball with massive explosions in a variety of detailed, film-inspired locations.

The game features images, sounds and clips from the movie, and players can unlock exclusive content by exploding things in particularly skilful ways. A Facebook-based high score table means that friends can compete and compare scores.

Wield the Shield was localised into over a dozen languages and released worldwide. Our favourite title translation was the German one, “Schwinge den Schild”.
